October - U.S. Senate approved immigration bill prohibiting hiring of illegal aliens and offered amnesty to illegals who entered prior to 1982
September – “Captain EO” with Michael Jackson, premieres.
August - Mail carrier Patrick Sherrill, Edmond Ok, shot 14 fellow workers dead. This is when we started saying “Going Postal”.
